Every project in three stages

To make the color work visible, each scene appears as it left the camera, after the technical transform and with the final grade. Switch stages or drag the line to compare.

  1. LOG

The camera original. It looks washed out because it keeps as much light and color information as possible.

  2. REC 709

The technical transform to the video standard. Correct contrast and color, no creative intent yet.

  3. COLOR

The final grade: balance, skin, contrast and mood serving the story.

Film · Short

Cecília

Color grading for the fiction short Cecília. The color follows the character's path: warm light in the home kitchen, dry daylight in the countryside, the blues of the bus station, the subway and MASP, and a sunset by the sea. Two cameras, Canon and Sony, matched into one look, with a film finish (Kodak 2383 emulation).
